Victorico's Mexican food
About This Spot
Victorico’s Mexican Food feels like a familiar corner of the city where time slows down just enough to savor something real. Nestled on Beltline Road in Springfield, this spot carries a relaxed, unpretentious vibe, the kind where friendly faces at the counter greet you with a warmth that feels genuine — an immediate invitation to explore a menu that’s earnest and full of life.
The interior carries subtle nods to celebrated Mexican traditions, with vibrant Dia de los Muertos accents that add a quiet richness to the space without overwhelming it. It’s a place where the casual chatter and the soft clatter of dishes create a steady rhythm, inviting you to unwind rather than rush. Whether you drop in for a quick bite or a more leisurely meal, the atmosphere gently encourages connection — between friends, families, or even just with the flavors on your plate.
At Victorico’s, the food is a thoughtful balance of bold and familiar, crafted with attention to the details that often make all the difference. You might find yourself drawn into the hearty spice of a carne asada burrito or the comforting warmth of a traditional pozole. Freshness shines through in vibrant salsas and the refreshing brightness of a mango smoothie or flor de jamaica drink, each sip weaving into the overall experience. It’s not about rushing through a meal but rather savoring the moments it brings, from the first crisp bite of chips and salsa to the last traces of a well-spiced flan.
This neighborhood spot carries an easygoing spirit, grounded in community and good food that doesn’t try too hard but delivers with sincerity. The staff, embodying both knowledge and kindness, add a personal touch that makes ordering feel less transactional and more like sharing a favorite dish with a thoughtful friend. It’s this understated humanity — along with generous portions and honest flavors — that quietly sets Victorico’s apart as a place worth returning to.

Food was very good at a fair price. Especially the pozole. The thing that I found good about Victorico’s at the Beltline location was the service at the front counter provided by Molly. She was kind, efficient and very knowledgeable of the menu. Since this was our first ever visit her knowledge was very helpful. She is the star of the show and deserves the recognition.

Would highly recommend getting the Cali burrito and enjoying yourself. May be a bit of a gut bomb if you eat the whole thing. Drive through service was slow, but no one was in front of me in line and it was late night. Price is higher than normal fast food, but the amount you get is much greater, so good on the value side. I didn't get anything else for myself but bought some other burritos for other who enjoyed. Worth a quicker visit especially if you are needing to hit the hospital for a long period of time.

I paid $12.50 for a burrito. I think that was more than what I normally pay at a couple of other places. However, the flavor was good, the red sauce was actually hot. And the order was correct because I ordered two burritos that were very different and normally people get these wrong, so I will say they got a complicated order correct.

This place was truly phenomenal. I didn't have high hopes, going into an old Jack in the Box building, but I immediately loved the decor of dia de los muertos and all the red and black. I was not a fan of their breakfast items, because the grill was too hot for their eggs and I have a complete intolerance for anything close to burnt eggs. According to my son, the men's room smelled like kitty litter and not good at all, and I have a strong disinclination for fast food that asks for tips. All that being said, I still gave five stars because their service, atmosphere and food were absolutely amazing. The pink haired woman who took out order was fast, friendly and personable, the atmosphere was comfy and well spaced, the rolled tacos and tots were delicious, but the quesabirria and soup/dip that came with it were eye-rollingly delicious, seriously! Will definitely be returning to try more menu items, I'm downright excited about the carne asada street tacos!

As a San Diego native (Taco Shop Capital of the World) they've got pretty darn good food, with Rolled Tacos just like home..! The Carni is good. Hot Sauces are pretty good too.
